According to original post, grandmother was declared brain dead and family was preparing to remove her from life support. I would seriously uninvite the aunts who wanted her to fund the vow renewal.
I read the update. They talked things over, got counseling, agreed on a name they both liked..........then had a GIRL!!!!!
You should NEVER pet a strange dog without asking permission first!!!!
