Did you say married the longest or together the longest (as you did here)? If together the longest, they won fair and square. If married the longest, then technically not. Either way, NTJ. Your wedding, your rules to the game
NTJ. My mom always hassled me to have kids and didn’t believe me when I told her I couldn’t. I consider my nephew my kid and he views my husband and I as his real parents. It broke my heart that my mom pushed so much. She’s now in a spot where she understands and has promised not to do the same to my kiddo. I know my kiddo and his wife want to have kids and dogs, I told them I’d love to have a grandkid but I’m happy no matter what they decide. Kid, no kid, furry (or even scaled) grand kid, it’s all okay with me.
NTJ. Honestly your daughter had found a really reasonably priced prom dress compared to the majority of them these days, and your son did a really sweet thing. I could understand freaking out if you were on a tight budget… but if she was worried about how much it was, then she should have asked when you said you were reimbursing him. Your wife is a huge jerk
NTJ. We invited a friend to join our family for Christmas since she had to work the day before and after, so couldn’t travel to join her family. Her dogs are friends with our dogs and normally come visit with her. Knowing we’d have a lot of family over, she asked if she should bring her babies or leave them at home. I asked for them to stay home since my four are already a lot with the excitement of their favorite people coming over. THAT’s how it should have been handled by your “friend”. Not just assuming, especially since his dogs haven’t come with him before. We made a point a few days after the holiday to let her pups come have a play day with ours so we could still enjoy that fun without the added mess of extra people and food in the mix.
