We’ve all seen a kid throw a tantrum before. Whether it was your own kid, your youngest sibling or cousin, or just a stranger at the mall, we’ve seen kids suddenly screaming their lungs out as their tantrum begins. These small toddlers will go about screaming at their parents, crying, and even kicking around as the adults try to calm them down.
It’s a stressful situation to watch, let alone be in. The reason kids throw tantrums isn’t because they’re bad, it’s because they don’t know how else to express what they’re feeling. If they see a toy they want, but can’t have it, they can’t argue away until mom or dad buys them the toy. If they hear “no,” they’ll instantly throw a fit because that’s the only way they know how to express the fact that they’re upset.
Sometimes it can be embarrassing for parents as their toddler loudly cries in the middle of the snack aisle because they don’t know how else to calm their kids down, and that’s why the video down below is so incredible.
As much as parents know their kids, sometimes the hug they give or the stern talking doesn’t work. Their child just continues trying to leave their parent’s tight grasp and crying. Sometimes a parent needs help.
In this video, a mother, Brianna Lelos, was shopping at a Target in Wilmington; Brianna was with her young daughter, Bella. Bella was obviously not up for shopping that day and the only way to show mom that seemed to be through a tantrum.
Brianna had tried to calm her toddler down with no avail, so that was when Target employee, Lianna, came over to help. It’s needless to say that she worked her magic almost immediately.
Later, Brianna tweeted: “To Lianna of the Wilmington, MA @Target store: Thank you. I *think* every parent knows the feeling of their toddler/any age child having a tantrum in the middle of the store……”
Brianna tweeted a picture in which Lianna and Bella are sitting in the middle of the Target floor, talking (and Bella looks super calm). Brianna thanked Target for having kind and caring workers.
