Mom And Son Show Off Dance Moves

If there’s one important life lesson to learn, it’s that judging a book by its cover isn’t the most reliable thing to do. I mean, how many times has someone told you that you can’t do something just because of your physical characteristics or even your age? When dancer Mike’s 60-year-old mother decided to join in on his dance routine, he was skeptical. But, after teaching her some sweet moves, he couldn’t believe that she had incredible talent, too!

In a video recording of the duo dancing together to Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” all eyes are on Mike’s mother. She eagerly approaches each step flawlessly. Even her Gangnam Style hops are on point! At several points in the video, Mom even does perfect arm and hand dances.

Don’t get me wrong, Mike is a great dancer, but his momma can really bust some moves! I don’t say that because of her age but because of the fact that she has had little dance experience compared to her professional son. Yet, she performs smoothly and right on the beat each time. But, I’m not going to lie, at some points in the clip, I started to question if Mike’s mom was actually a robot. It’s amazing what hours of practicing can do!

Then, mother and son end their incredible dance routine standing back-to-back with their arms crossed. What a show! Later in the video, Mike’s mom shows a slower look at how she approached one of the hand dances in the routine (I gave it a go, and I’m feeling a little fancy right now). Mike leaves the text on the screen that says, “Moms are cool.” He sure does have one cool mother!

I don’t know about you, but I’m left wanting some more. I’m hoping Mike and his mom will record more videos of them dancing together. But to be honest, “Gangnam Style” is going to be stuck in my head the rest of the day, maybe even the week. Hey, it was all worth it to see a neat dance performance.

Before you skedaddle out of here if you asked your mother or father to perform a dance with you, would they do it (or have done it)? And of course, what song would you two dance to? Let us know!
