If it feels good, do it! Ok, let me rephrase that – if it feels good, do it, as long as it doesn’t hurt you or anyone else. If you want to sing your favorite song out loud while walking down the sidewalk, do it! If the time is right, and you feel like wearing that extra colourful, extra sparkly, extra frilly dress on a Saturday night, do it! And, if the music moves you to the point where you literally jump onto your feet from sitting down, then do it!
Life is too short to miss out on these little bubbles of joy and opportunity. Stand up and dance or laugh out loud or tell someone you love them because you never know when you’ll get the next chance!
Kids totally get this, naturally! They have no inhibitions and plenty of childlike abandon to go around! Just like these two little cutie pies in the video. Two girls are fixated on a marching band performing in front of them. The older girl is eating from a paper plate, standing beside her younger sister who is lounging in her stroller. The expression on each of their faces is one of astonishment and wonder.
Mom is loving this moment, surely grateful she’s got her camera out. As cute as the girls are, I bet she had no idea what would happen next! As mom’s recording, the girls continue to watch from the sidelines in awe. The older sister continues to eat and watch, while the younger sister can’t tear her eyes away. Seconds later, she’s had enough! That’s it! She can’t take it anymore. This is just too good, too overwhelming, just way too awesome to keep sitting down for! She musters her strength and pushes herself out of her seat to stand up and bust a move. She’s got her hands up in the air, wiggling and dancing and living her best life. This tiny tot has such an authentic smile, pure joy is written across her face as she lets loose on the sidewalk. She even bends down and picks it back up, and bends down and picks it back up. Mom is laughing her head off in the background!
