Single Man Offers $25,000 To The Person Who Helps Him Find True Love

Love really isn’t easy to find. I was lucky to have met my now-fiance when we were just 14- and 15-years-old. But, my gosh, even meeting your life partner at a young age can be a mess. I mean, you don’t exactly know that they’re going to end up being your life partner (unless you have a crystal ball and know how to use it). Heck, at that age, you expect to break up any month over a petty argument or just ’cause. But as time goes on, no matter how old you and your partner are when you first meet, you start to realize, “Okay, this person is the one.”

But like many, Jeff Gebhart knows just how long it takes for people to finally find that connection with someone special. The 47-year-old entrepreneur from Prairie Village, Kansas, tried online dating after a recent breakup, but he didn’t think it was right for him. So, he decided to do something a little riskier and more drastic: Offer someone $25,000 if they help him find a good, long-term girlfriend. He also says he’ll donate $25,000 to a no-kill animal shelter in exchange for love.

They say you can’t buy love, but if you knew what finding true love meant to Gebhart, you’d understand.

“If this pays off, this could be the best value ever,” he explained.

After all, many of us do technically pay for love. Those of us who use online dating websites often fork out cash just to keep our profiles active from month to month. Gebhart and his friends agreed that it was a waste of money, especially if they ended up with someone they later found to be a poor pick. So, they figured it would make more sense financially to only spend money on love when you’re confident you’ve actually found that person.

“I saw the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results, so I knew I couldn’t go back to online dating.”

Gebhart may have had trouble with online dating, but he still has a positive outlook and knows there’s someone out there for him.

‘There’s a lot of really good girls out there not dating,” he said.

So, the Prairie Village resident spent six months making his own website, along with help from a group of friends, so he can meet his dream girl.

On his website that launched earlier this month, www.datejeffg.com, you’ll learn more about the romantic bachelor and what he’s looking for in a woman. And, if you think you might be a potentially good match for him and his dog Gunner, or if you know someone else who might be, he has a lengthy survey on his website that you can fill out.

Gehart may be making headlines and has even been featured in People magazine recently, but he remains patient as he finds that special someone.

“I’m excited for now. I’m excited for next year, and I want to feel a connection with somebody on that level also.”
