They say that dogs and owners look alike. Now, does the dog look like the owner or does the owner look like the dog? Who resembles who first? And how on earth does this phenomenon happen?
Maybe we just gravitate towards other people and creatures that we look like, and it goes even beyond just looks. We tend to attract what we put out there, and it’s the law of attraction at its finest! Hey, you get what you give; or your vibe attracts your tribe; or, what goes around comes around.
So while owners and dogs can sometimes (realistically, most times) share the same aesthetic, it’s also their personalities that match. Just like when you spend a lot of time with one person and all of a sudden you’re telling each other’s jokes and finishing each other’s sentences. There are certain behaviors that are learned and shared between owner and pup! Ok, so they’re not playing video games together, but they sure do know how to pick on one another and have fun.
This video opens up to dad with his beautiful black dog on the couch. Immediately, we can hear dad making really loud and strange noises in an attempt to scare the dog away. Mission successful. The dog is visibly startled by dad’s booming sounds, so he tries to get away. He jumps back, away from the couch, trying to find his footing so he can leave as fast as possible. Dad scared him and the poor pooch just wants out.
He trips a little bit while trying to escape, and makes it to the end of the couch, fleeing the scene of the crime before he stops for a second. He comes to a complete halt and looks around. He stands there probably pondering, “No! I will not let my human make a mockery out of me! I will get sweet, sweet revenge and teach him a lesson!” Or, at least something to that extent.
Not a second later, does he turn on his heels (paws?), and run full force towards his human and jump up on him and attack. A ferocious and merciless attack with licks, and cuddles, and heavy petting until dad apologizes! He doesn’t give in though, he denies what happened! He just says, between giggles and laughter, “I didn’t! I didn’t…. I didn’t do itttt!”
