The reason is that the type of bird we’re talking about isn’t a common pet. In fact, the only people who have these pets are wizards in Harry Potter. Is this hint helping you put two and two together yet? Although she’s not a part of the HP cast, one woman decided that she wanted this bird to be her pet, too.
That’s right. One woman owns an owl, but this is no ordinary feathery friend. In the video below, the baby owl and the owner sing a tune together, and we’re going crazy over this unlikely dynamic duo.
The video begins with the lady singing a melody. When she pauses the owl “hoos” the next part. The bird is perched on a window sill, looking gorgeous under the sunlight. It’s clearly enjoying the view. The woman continues to sing a song, and the owl fills in the empty spaces with its “hoo-hoo’s.”
As she continues to sing, the owl walks closer to her and the camera. The little guy gets close and starts to nibble on the woman’s fingers. It seems to think that she’s holding a snack because it continues to nibble at her hand.
The woman opens her palm and rests her hand on the window sill. The owl takes that as her cue to rest its own foot on top of her palm. It’s the sweetest thing to see! As the lady pets her owl with her thumb, she continues to sing; her feathery friend takes this as a signal to add in some of its notes as well.
Between the owls singing, it’s puffy body and brown-colored feathers, and it’s huge yellow/orange eyes, we want to call it our own! This singing duo is really giving us the urge to go get a pet owl!
