It’s an exciting time when you figure out that you’re about to be a parent! Couples usually tend to keep the big news to themselves until they’re fully in the clear of a healthy and safe pregnancy—then they have to decide how they want to break the news! Apart from telling your family that there’s a little bun in the oven, there’s something else that couples these days like to plan for. It’s called a gender reveal.
Gender reveal parties are a phenomenal way for parents-to-be to announce the gender of their soon-to-be-born child, to all their friends and family at the same time. It’s also a great way to celebrate the bringing of new life into the world. Typical gender reveal parties involve cutting into a cake, opening a box with balloons — you get my drift. Regardless of how a reveal is tackled, the results are always special.
In one gender reveal, the couple decided to shake things up a bit. Family and friends gathered around the gender reveal cake with smiles as the duo cut into the cake, hoping that their soon-to-be baby would be a boy this time around as they already had two daughters.
The crowd clapped as the couple removed the first slice: pink! They would be expecting their third daughter. Of course, the party guests were excited — all that matters is the child is healthy.
After the claps died down, the couple said that it was getting hot. As the lyrics go, “It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes.” Okay, so maybe not all of your clothes. (Please, for goodness sake.)
So, next thing you know, the pregnant mommy quickly took off her shirt to reveal another shirt that said, “Oh boy!” Shortly after, her hubby removed his zip-up to a shirt that read, “It’s a boy!” At that point, the partygoers cheered even louder.
To cut to the chase, the couple would not be expecting a third daughter after all. Finally, a son! Third time’s a charm, right?
