One particularly cold winter evening, I got a call from an unusually excited friend to tell me she was going to her friend’s house. This friend’s Chihuahua had just given birth a few days ago, and the puppies were ready for visitors. I’ve never put my sweater, boots, and coat on more quickly than I did that night. We tore over as fast as possible so we could play with those little babies!
Chihuahuas are such tiny, excitable, bouncy balls of joy that bring happiness to anyone they come in contact with. Plus, they look extra cute being toted around in a bag or, when you put them in little jackets and costumes!
From West Allis, Wisconsin, USA, mom is in the car with her adorable, teenaged Chihuahua named Oscar. They’re anxiously awaiting dad’s return, but Oscar seems to be very on edge! Mom is beyond entertained at the pup’s hilarious behavior. Oscar just can’t seem to stand still, he wants his favorite human to come back and play with him. She can’t get enough and figures dad would want to see his pup’s funny reaction later, so she grabs her phone and hits record.
The video opens to Oscar on his hind legs looking out the window of the car. He’s keeping a lookout for his human, focusing all of his attention right out the window. His head moves ever so slightly, from left to right, longingly keeping an eye out for when dad emerges from the building. Oscar’s navy blue knitted hat, with a big white fluffy ball sitting atop his head, is just cuteness overload! It’s the perfect hat to keep his head and ears warm.
On his body, he’s got on a matching navy blue and green checkered jacket that keeps him from freezing! Seriously, this pup is really well dressed. After he gets tired of looking out the window, he perches on the driver’s seat and looks straight into the camera. Oh, my heart! Then he goes onto the console, and the ball on the top of his head is just the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on a dog. When Oscar moves his head, the ball of fluff jiggles, and I can’t help but laugh. No doubt mom was having a field day while recording this one!
