Nothing says royalty or status like having an entrance song! Think of sports matches when the teams come in from behind the bleachers to run through the sign onto the field, surrounded by cheerleaders and a roaring audience to their song of choice! Or the bride and groom at their wedding, strolling in, to a fast-paced song with all eyes on them! Or when a fashion show starts and the models strut their stuff down the catwalk – you gotta have music that makes a statement when you’ve got something big to say! These are critical moments that require some big tunes and everyone’s attention!
While I surely don’t have an entrance song and I don’t know anyone who does (the closest thing I can think of is personalizing ringtones, that kind of counts right? A grand entrance ringtone?) this is a pretty cool way of making your presence known.
After having completed a long journey, the German naval fleet’s MSC BUSAN has finally returned to its home country! The container ship is a whopping 325m long by 43m wide, and weighs 90,000 tonnes – that’s 3.5 times as heavy as the Statue of Liberty or 8 times as heavy as the Eiffel Tower!! This ship is big. It’s one of the largest cargo ships in the world and has some serious presence. You don’t want to get in this ship’s way. Cheering from the sidelines is a much better idea!
An arrival party was there ready and waiting, applauding and clapping, when the MSC BUSAN entered into the Hamburg harbor, in Germany. But wait, that’s not all. Even though it’s quite the sight to see, to watch as this mega feat of naval engineering comes in (this bad boy can brave the wild and treacherous seas, designed to be a seafaring beast, able to bend and flex when it gets pummelled by waves and water pressure), the MSC BUSAN crewmen decided to have a little fun.
Taking the “Star Wars” theme song, the crafty crewmen used the ship’s horns to fire off the familiar tune when they came in! After all, this ship looks like it could be the Death Star of seas! The low resounding honks keep up with the tempo, making it instantly recognizable amongst onlookers who are all racing to whip out their cameras at the regal arrival! This is just too cool! Too bad the crewmen didn’t dress up in their finest Star Wars attire!
