Darci Lynne Returns To AGT To Perform With Her Puppet Petunia

There is no doubt that the acts on this season’s “America’s Got Talent” are some of the most entertaining people in the world. One of the best parts of the reality talent show is that for many of the people on the stage, the show is the first time that they have been recognized for what they have to offer to the entertainment industry. Before their auditions, they were completely unknown.

Something that always amazes me about the people that try out for “America’s Got Talent” is that many of them have overcome adversity, bullying, and even extreme shyness before they take the stage. I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure that standing in front of those judges and the huge audience would help my shyness or stage fright. But, they conquer their fears and stand up in front of the world — and many are rewarded with the attention their talent deserves.

This year’s field has the typical dance groups, magicians, acrobats, and of course, some very talented singers. But, it’s missing one act that has been very successful in the past — a ventriloquist. Talented ventriloquists have gone on to win the show and earn the one million dollar prize and contract for a show in Vegas. Last year, the winner’s title was awarded to 12-year-old Darci Lynne Farmer.

She is one of the many contestants who overcame extreme shyness before taking the stage. In fact, ventriloquism is what helped her do it. Then, her tool for social interaction ended up earning her a Golden Buzzer and the opportunity to go straight to the live final, and eventually, the winner’s title.

Not only is Darci a talented ventriloquist who can make her puppets appear to talk, but she also makes them sing. With her mouth closed, she is one of the best singers to ever take the AGT stage. So, fans were delighted when during one of the recent live shows, Darci returned!

She is little older and slightly more poised, but Darci has all of the charm and talent that earned her America’s vote. She brought with her “Petunia,” the first puppet she auditioned with and the one who earned her the Golden Buzzer. Together, they performed “Show Off,” a perfect song for the duo. As much as I’m enjoying watching the current contestants, it’s hard to deny that Darci is one of the most special talents to ever compete on the show.

Watch her return to “America’s Got Talent” in the video below to see what she has in store!
