You know some people say that kids do and say the darndest things, well I think I feel the same about adults. You never know when an adult can feel spontaneous, and in the mood for some fun, and cook up an idea that just seems so weird.
I agree, it’s not all the time that you see someone you know out of their element. Once you know someone for who they are, they’ll usually seem normal to you — they can be quirky to others, for example, wearing different socks on each foot, or having their underwear over their pants (it’s a thing!), but it’s normal. Things people don’t see every day, but something that happens. That’s what I mean when I say that even adults do the darndest things.
Now, talking about weird things that people do, here is something that you don’t get to see every day. Or not too much ever, actually. And if I ever got to see this, I would stop whatever it was that I was doing, hail them down and shake their hands, pet the horse and take a picture with them.
This horses’ name is Patches, and his owners, brothers Herbert and Robert Thompson, have adopted him into the family. He’s not your average horse either. He’s a bit smaller and has some pretty unusual characteristics that make him the coolest horse ever.
Patches is one handy horse to have around. While he’s considered a very good friend, he is also a part of the family. “Every time we start to go somewhere, he just acted like he wanted to go with us. So I said to Robert, he acts like he wants to go…Why don’t we fix the car so he can get in and out?” And fix the car is exactly what they did.
But instead of cruising around and making mischief, this funny trio goes out to pick up food and enjoy the ride. At home, Patches fetches beers, picks up the phone and there’s a spot for him on the couch too! And if that wasn’t enough, Patches gets his own bed to lay down his head at night and with a blanket that he pulls up with his teeth. I think it’s safe to say that he’s practically human!
