Getting married is one of the biggest decisions of your life. There is so much that goes into the process before you get the chance to say your “I Dos.” You want to make sure that you and your partner are ideal for one another and share common ground. It’s completely ok to be different, opposites attract, but a good understanding makes the marriage successful, always.
Speaking of differences, and opposites attracting, if there is one celebrity pair that defines this notion, it has to be Prince Harry and the newly-wed Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Everything came to a standstill the day these two tied the knot and many remember their wedding to be one of the most beautiful weddings of all time.
Just a reminder to all the readers, Meghan does not come from a royal background. She is most famous for her acting career and role in “Suits.” She had always been active in politics and is an activist in her own rights. Meghan is a talented and intelligent woman who was extremely fit for the Prince.
I’m sure there was a lot to talk about changes and moving, between the couple, in the months before the wedding. Soon after the two announced that they’re tying the knot, speculations were rife that Meghan wouldn’t be able to handle the title of “Duchess of Sussex.” People thought that her background in entertainment and social work wouldn’t allow her to fit in, given that she would have to give up a big chunk of her former life to join the Windsor family. But, she continues to prove everyone wrong. She’s taken on the role with grace and dignity, making it look effortless. She was made to be a part of the family, and Harry’s wife.
This doesn’t go to say that there wasn’t an adjustment period, I’m sure there was, given there are so many new policies and protocols to follow. But, in my opinion, she’s owning the role better than ever.
When it comes to the rules that she has to adhere to, I’m not gonna lie, the list is extensive. There are things on there that someone wouldn’t generally think would be on the list. For example, as the Duchess, you can’t wear bright-colored nail polish; there is a certain type of shoe you can no longer have in your closet; and, you can’t give anyone your autograph!
