Those who live by the motto “Age is just a number” are the ones we should be following when it comes to how to live our lives! I’ve met people who are well into their lives but still living it up — I love that! Below is a list of grandparents and parents who are pursuing their passions and dreams and chucking the idea of “age” out the door!
Watch for the four dancing women who come on stage and transform their dresses at number one!
5. The Mother-Son Performance
It was only common to see mother-son dances at weddings. At one point in time, moms would reserve their dancing shoes for this special occasion and share it with their sons. But now things are different, and we’re glad!
In this first video, you see mom and son grooving to their favorite song, right in their kitchen! The best part about this clip is that it doesn’t happen during a special occasion, and in a fancy location; the dance is so impromptu.
Lucy and Lance seem like the perfect dance partners in what is a fun home video, where both son and mother can actually bust some moves!
Click on the link below and watch them do their dance — mom doesn’t bother with how old she is, and we love it!
4. The Groovy Couple
This couple definitely knows how to have fun and shake a leg!
It’s not every day that you get to see gran and gramps grooving to the beat of their favorite song, right in the middle of the mall! So, when you see something like this, it’s only appropriate to take out your smartphone and record this epic moment.
Passersby were taken by a pleasant surprise when they saw a crowd gathering around Nick and Emma Nichols, a couple that’s been married for 50 years. When they got closer to see what the group was all about, people noticed that the two had put on an energetic performance to the song that was playing in the background, “Uptown Funk.”
The couple is known to put on their dancing shoes pretty much anywhere they deem fit — they went to a Ludacris concert and brought the house down with their moves! A real example of age just being a number.
Watch Nick and Emma take the mall’s (dance) floor by storm in the footage, below.
3. Boogie Woogie For Two
Just when you thought that it couldn’t get better than mom and son dancing in the kitchen, and Nick and Emma shaking a leg at the mall, it just did! We bring to you another wise couple that’s going to woo everyone.
Swing dancing isn’t easy. It takes a lot of practice and energy to master this fast-paced dance form. But, that’s nothing this couple is afraid of.
Watch as both the man and woman bring their A-game to this competition and blow everyone out of the water. Their high-energy routine has them smiling face-to-face, and you can’t even tell whether or not their tired, that’s how much they’re enjoying themselves!
It’s great to see someone dance like no one is watching, and be one with their partner to give a stellar act! This couple definitely has excellent chemistry!
Watch them below and tell us what you think!
2. Grandma, The Impromptu Performer
Sometimes you just want to get up and dance. Regardless of what you’re doing, or where you are, the moment you feel like showing off some moves, you have to get that feeling out of your system. I think this grandma knows exactly what I’m talking about.
As a performance is going on, gran gets up on stage and starts dancing to her heart’s content. Grandmas have so many different and amazing faces; they’ll be peaceful and calm, loving and gentle, but also very fun-loving and kiddie.
This gran dons a cute green dress and gets on the stage to show everyone what she’s got. She does a shimmy and shake and moves across the platform with so much grace and ease. It’s like this dancing is a part of her daily routine — she’s so comfortable in front of an audience, too!
Gran, you’re a born performer, keep it going! Watch her, below!
1. The Cocooners
The judges seemed uninterested when they first got there. They probably didn’t think that these four ladies could deliver something substantial and worth watching.
“Britain’s Got Talent” is a favorite amongst the masses, and it’s no joke that the competition is fierce. Thousands of people audition to be on the show and for a chance to win, but unfortunately, not everyone makes it. People may have predicted the same fate for The Cocooners, but they proved everyone wrong.
The group has a combined age of 293 years, and they came onto the show wearing frilly granny dresses, immediately making the judges frown. But then, the music starts and their dresses instantly change. The women take their garbs off to reveal shiny jumpsuits.
The crowd is roaring with cheer as soon as they begin tap dancing on their platforms, and the judges know that The Cocooners are here to stay.
