Ever since the royal wedding took place back in May of this year, Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle have become the talk of the town. They are known to be so in love and never miss a moment to express how much they care for one another. Despite all the controversies that this couple has been through, they came out stronger than ever and prove that together, they’re a force to be reckoned with.
According to Town and Country Magazine, the now royal couple met back in July of 2016, through a mutual friend. Although Prince Harry hails from the royal family, Meghan openly admits that she didn’t know much about him. In their interview for E! News, she said: “I didn’t know much about him, so the only thing that I had asked [our mutual friend] when she said that she wanted to set us up, was, ‘Well is he nice?’ Cause if he wasn’t kind, it just didn’t seem like it would make sense.”
Well, it seems like he was kind and charming because the two haven’t ever looked back since! Harry went on to say that he knew Meghan was “the one” on the very first day that the two met. They definitely share a very close and special bond. This bond though goes beyond one another.
The young and modern couple is often seen interacting with their fans, as well. Wherever they travel, both Harry and Meghan make it a point to greet the people that are crowding around to catch a glimpse of these two. They’ve been recorded on more than one occasion; one of the times we shared with you was when Prince Harry and Meghan took to the streets of Ireland to meet-and-greet everyone that had collected around them. It was on this day that 19-year-old Chloe Mullins had gifted the couple a beautiful hand-drawn portrait. The couple was surprised at how wonderful the drawing was.
In the meet-and-greet that we’re sharing below, you see that Meghan is the one who gives her fans a nice surprise. She is greeting people lined up to see her and Prince Harry when a woman tells the actress that she came all the way from the Philippines to say hello. In turn, Meghan thanks the woman for dropping by and saying hi. But, she does it in a special manner. She says, “Salamat Po” which means “thank you” in Philippines’ native language.
You can hear that the woman was ecstatic to hear those words coming from the Duchess herself. I think that was a very kind gesture!
