You are never too old to follow your dreams. If there’s something that you want to do and you have full faith in your abilities, I would always encourage to you to pursue your passion, regardless of what may come, or what may be happening in your life at any given moment. Sometimes, the only way to make it is by stealing the moment from your busy life and jumping right into things. You never know when you’ll make it big.
Something similar happened to country singer Marty Brown from Franklin, Kentucky, USA. He is a man that believes in his dreams and that those dreams are all that you’re living for. During one television appearance, he admitted that he believes if you don’t have any dreams to live for, then are you really living?
You see, Marty’s biggest dream was to sing. The man didn’t let his passion wither away and started singing as a young man. He has got singles and albums, and acclaimed fame back in the day. Then, for some time, the singer didn’t appear in any other songs or features. He wasn’t forgotten because his old songs were worth listening to even years after they released. But, his fans missed Marty. That’s when he made another appearance.
With television talent shows being all the rage over the last few years, Marty appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2013. Although the judges had no faith in him, he blew all the competition out of the water with his rendition of a Bob Dylan classic. He said he was going to sing his wife’s favorite song for the audience and judges; he also says that his wife is his biggest supporter.
He had a decent run on the show with a couple of hiccups along the road. But, if there was one performance that stood out more than the one for his auditions, then it has to be the one we’re sharing in the video below. In this performance on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, Marty sings a heart-wrenching ballad by Rascal Flatts.
His version of “Bless the Broken Road” comes directly from the heart. It sounds so real and raw, and he definitely makes up for all the vocal issues he had in the past episode. Marty gives this song soul and power, and you can tell the audience enjoyed it so much — everyone in the room was roaring with cheer!
