It is always intriguing when an animal is able to do something out of the ordinary. Some cats are able to say basic English words like “Hello” while there are dogs out there who can walk on two legs. These talents often have us second guessing what we just heard or saw. It’s not every day that an animal is able to do those things!
If you’ve ever watched a talent show like America’s Got Talent or Pet Star, you’ve probably already witnessed a great deal of animal talent. However, even with the amount you’ve witnessed, you may still want more. It’s just so incredible to see the capabilities animals have and the entertainment they are able to provide for us.
During a Moscow, Russia dog show, Eurasia 2012, you bet there were some very talented pups scheduled to perform! However, one particular freestyle performance with a woman and her chocolate brown Newfoundland dog, who were both wearing large, white bows, stood out from the rest.
Newfoundland dogs are known for their calm, friendly, docile, and intelligent nature, and it definitely shows in this act! In the performance, which was caught on camera, the woman stood face-to-face several feet away from her seemingly sleepy canine as she began dancing to the music. Just a second after she began, her dog instantly understands the cue and pops right up. The dog begins to run around his owner with his eyes fixed on her as she’s twirling around in circles to the beat of the tune.
After spinning around, the duo faces one another and starts stepping, jumping, and kicking in synch. How amazing it is to see the dog so responsive to his owner’s moves and verbal instructions the whole time. What a smart and loyal pup!
About halfway through the performance, the audience begins to slowly clap along to the beat to show that they are fully immersed into the performance. But, the best is yet to come. Later into the dance routine, the Newfoundland dog jumps over the woman’s legs when she kicks them out and even “snakes” around her body in an intricate manner. That’s surely not something most canines can do!
After the routine comes to an end, the woman plants a big kiss on the Newfoundland’s head, and the audience claps and cheers. What a show!
