Mom Steps Inside A Giant Grain Bin To Sing Her Rendition Of “How Great Thou Art”

Part of providing a great singing performance isn’t just hitting all the right notes or having a good voice overall, it’s also about having the right environment to ensure your voice is distributed properly around the room. Many professional singers and stage performers would understand this idea.

That’s why one Ider, Alabama bus driver, and mother-of-three, named Jenny Mann, decided to step into an empty grain bin to sing a special song, “How Great Thou Art.” The beautiful, Christian hymn with Swedish roots was originally written in 1885 by Carol Boberg but it still provides value and relevance for many today.

Starting the clip, the first thing one notices is the fact that Jenny is dressed in a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a white visor with her sunglasses resting on the rim. In this casual attire, nobody would believe the voice nestled inside of her, but you’ll believe it once you watch the video for yourself.

As she begins singing, I am at a loss for words. With Jenny’s angelic voice, alongside the heavenly reverberation and amplification provided by the enclosed grain bin, I had goosebumps the entire time and my stress levels went from 10 to 1.

Once Jenny hits the final note of “How Great Thou Art,” my goosebumps even got goosebumps. But, just when I thought the performance was over, she started singing “God Bless America,” and I just about burst into tears. With a voice that powerful, I sure hope Jenny gets the recognition and opportunities she deserves!

Fortunately, video footage of Jenny’s “How Great Thou Art” and “God Bless America” performances has already reached over a well-deserving 2,500,000 million views, and earned over 40,000 shares!

In response to the gone-viral video, Jenny told Country Rebel, “I posted the video for a friend of mine who loves the song, but never expected anything like the response I’ve received. I’m always singing in places with good acoustics, so this was nothing out of the ordinary for me.”

Well, it looks like Jenny chose the perfect location for singing, wouldn’t you agree? Have you seen other singers singing in grain bins? What do you think of this concept overall? Tell us in the comments!
