Irish step dances are flooding the web in national dance competitions everywhere, and it’s happening for a good reason, too. Not only is the Irish step dance difficult to partake in — making it such a treat to watch — it remains a cultural treasure. It’s even more fitting now since it’s the month of March, the month of the Irish.
If you thought you already witnessed the best-of-the-best Irish step dancers yet, there’s another you have to see to make your final decision. This time, however, the performance is from a little boy, Michael Flatley, on “Little Big Shots UK,” and it is almost too good to be true.
Little Michael shocked us with his dance since he not only kept his moves coordinated with the music and kept up with the quick choreography without missing a beat but also looked like a pro with his straight legs and back. It is hard to imagine the amount of training the boy has gone through to achieve such talent.
Even more intriguing, regarding Michael’s performance, is that many children within his age range do not yet have anything near the coordination and motor skills he has developed, not to mention the ability to keep up with such a complex dance, to do what he can do.
To knock up the performance, even more, Michael’s adorable Irish-inspired costume and sweet face easily melt those who witness his dancing.
Just when you thought the Irish dancer was a new dancer disguised as an expert, everyone’s jaw drops when learning that he received a whopping 48 trophies before his “Little Big Shots” performance, all in the span of his short life.
If this dancer isn’t the cutest and one of the most inspiring talents one has seen, I’m not sure who is!
