It’s another ambush makeover with the folks from the Today Show in New York City. Stylist Louis Licari and style expert Jill Martin join forces to revamp two lucky women in search of a spruce up. This one is awesome!
We have two hardworking ladies looking for a little TLC when it comes to their looks. Both have had, or are undergoing, career changes and as a result, both put their time and energy into their studies and work; there was far less of a focus on their appearance. Not to worry, they’re in for a treat.
First up, is Lourdes Hembrick. She’s 52 years old and lives in Texas with her husband. She’s had her nose to the grind for some time now, pursuing a career as a nurse. With only five months of school left, she’s ready to take on the nursing world by storm with a new look and attitude. Loudres is thrilled to be selected for this opportunity, but she’s still a little nervous, unaware of what she might look like after her transformation, and have it all caught on TV no less. Her husband is excited but stands his ground, not wanting his wife to get rid of her gray hair. Spoiler alert: There’s not a single gray hair on her head during her reveal.
Loudres walks out looking like she owns the place. Her hair looks flawless and natural, her makeup clean and not heavy, and her clothes are well-suited and elegant for her body type. As her husband removes his eye mask, it’s the way he looks at her that makes her cry. He can’t take his eyes off of her and it’s his wondrous expression that really gives her the boost of confidence that made this all worthwhile! It’s so cute.
Next up is Pam Kincheloe from Virginia, and with three careers as a nurse, midwife, and lawyer, this woman has zero time for herself. She confesses she hasn’t done anything with her hair in years. She used to dye it but has since stopped, so she’s looking for a bit more oomph. With her granddaughter and daughter-in-law in tow, Pam’s ready to rock a new hair color and look.
And when Pam comes out? Her two girls are floored, both exclaiming out loud their excitement and delight. Pam’s hair and makeup are warm, giving her a youthful glow that gives her bounce and style! She looks fab, and the moment she sees herself in the mirror, she’s visibly overwhelmed and rendered speechless. She starts to cry, immediately. It’s been a while, but she’s still got it!
