Man Reunites With His Long Lost Dog Seven Months After She Gets Stolen

When we introduce a furry friend into our lives, the intention is usually to provide them a forever home. Not only does this mean we don’t plan on getting rid of them, but this also means we don’t anticipate that one day they’ll run away or get stolen by someone else. If and when they do get taken away from us, there are two emotions we usually feel: shock and devastation.

You bet that when a man lost his beloved canine, Mary Jane, he was both shocked and devastated. Mary Jane was stolen by someone else, and as anyone might expect, he thought she was gone for good and would forever have a whole new life.

But you can’t separate soul mates for eternity. The man, whose name is unknown, got the memo that seven months after getting stolen, Mary Jane was caught walking around the streets and was then taken to a shelter.

Thanks to the people who shared a video of Mary Jane on the Internet, the man was able to get back in contact with his long lost doggy friend!

To reiterate what happened, the caption on the video reads, “‘CHLOE’ was stolen 7 months ago. Recently DAS found her roaming the streets and took her to the shelter. Thanks to YOUR sharing of her videos, her owner was made aware that his beloved dog was safe! Watch as MARYJANE (her real name) sees her daddy after 7 months!”

As if that’s not already joyful enough to hear, Mary Jane and her original owner were filmed reuniting in a heart-rending video. The footage itself says more than what words can say.

As the owner holds Mary Jane in his arms to give her a big, loving hug, the canine is jittery and all smiles, as is the man.

“Oh, that is one happy dog!” one woman says in the video. That’s for sure!

In fact, the dog is so excited to be reunited with her owner that she leaps out of his arms and eagerly begins jumping on her best friend, giving him lots of kisses in the process. What a happy girl! Even though the dog is on a leash during the reunion, she cannot be contained.

“You’re gonna go viral, you know,” says a woman in the background. And, she did! The video has earned 3.2 million views and over 48,000 shares since March 22, 2016.

Seeing people reunite with their lost pets never gets old. Watch the emotional footage below!
