22-Year-Old Gymnast’s Routine Is The Most Viewed Sports Video Of 2019

If we are to look up to anyone, it should be athletes. Being in such a labor intensive and competitive field requires bravery, plenty of practice and training, physical strength, and endurance. During every competition, game, or routine, athletes must not only put in all that they can, but they must also not be afraid of failing in front of a large crowd.

As for 22-year-old gymnast, Katelyn Ohashi, she certainly has what it takes to make the crowd roar and for all the right reasons. This is especially true with her January 2019 routine which is deemed the most viewed sports video of this year thus far with over 41 million views!

Although you might be wondering what would make a gymnastics routine so deserving of garnering millions of views, watching the video at the end of this article, you’ll definitely see why.

Katelyn, with short, tight curls and dressed in a navy, three-quarter sleeve leotard bedazzled in gems, started off her performance with undeniable confidence and a flashy grin. The young woman’s flawless twist and turns in the air coupled with her perfect landings had the audience cheering just seconds into her routine.

One of the best parts of the routine is when “I Want You Back” by Jackson 5 blares on the speaker, and the gymnast turns her roundoff into the splits and then quickly pops back up like a lobster in boiling water. It’s clear the crowd is also in love with her moves to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

Although the routine isn’t much longer than a minute, the quality of her performance and the wide variety she provides for us ensures every second is worth the watch. Not surprisingly, the young beauty earns a perfect 10.0 score from each of the judges after her routine. Very much well-deserved!

Katelyn Ohashi is a six-time All-American and was a four-time member of the Junior National Team. For her incredible talent and hard work, Katelyn was crowned the champion of the 2011 Visa Championships and won the 2013 American Cup.

Katelyn reminds us that it is not merely practice, effort, and talent that lead us to a successful career. Rather, major components of success include loving what you do and feeling confident about it in the process. Katelyn is sure to have a long and fruitful athletic career because it’s obvious she loves what she does. Quite frankly, seeing her enjoy her career makes us love it nearly as much as she does!
