What was it that you wanted so badly when you were a little kid? Let’s say you can go back to being 5-years-old and in a moment that you remember when you asked your parents for something over and over again. What would that something be? A new toy? An instrument? Your favorite snack? I think I would choose a new toy, that’s all I wanted back then. But, other children want something more than just material things. They’ve got their eyes on a bigger prize.
Jose Moreira is an example of one such child. The little boy is a superstar in the making and if you don’t believe it, then tune into the video below. He wants to be a lead singer one day, and he knows that one of the ways it will happen is if he wins “The Voice,” so that’s what he wants — to win the championship prize to move further along in achieving his dream.
Jose takes the stage, wearing khaki shorts, a blue shirt and rocking his curly, cutesy hair. What’s surprising is that he doesn’t look nervous, it’s almost like being on stage and giving these nerve-wracking auditions is second nature to him.
When the music starts, almost everyone can recognize the famous tune, and if you’re like me, then you’re wondering how this little human will live up to the grandeur of such a big song. Jose chose John Legend’s “All of Me,” and it’s a feat on its own. But, Jose takes it on with a smile, rocking from side to side, as he jumps right into the lyrics. The music has him swaying to the beat, and he’s in his element. Jose is ready to knock the socks off the judges, and he hopes that he can get at least one of them to turn around, so he has a chance to be mentored by a celebrity from the industry.
The judges are thoroughly impressed. Each of them is itching to turn around, but they want to give him just a little bit more time to prove his talent. Then, one of the judges just couldn’t wait any longer — she hits the buzzer, turns around, and puts her hands on her mouth! Just like the rest of us, even she probably didn’t think that this powerful voice was coming from such a small person.
