Homeless Dog Makes Bed Every Morning

Humans are pretty good at having everyday rituals. We like to brush our teeth in the morning and at night. I wash my face daily, do laundry every weekend, have a cup of coffee (or five) every morning. Just like humans are creatures of habit, so are animals, and so is this pup!

While waiting for his forever home, Rush, the pit bull puppy, is homeless. He’s been at an animal shelter in Kettering, Ohio, for over a month. The one-year-old dog has his daily ritual, as well, says The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals.

In this video, you’ll notice Rush is making his bed! Okay, so maybe his corners are a little loose, but the dog sure is doing something right. He’s pulling in a corner and making sure his blanket is laid out smoothly. And the entire time his tail is wagging nonstop!

This video definitely helped his cause because this adorable pup looking for a home got one! A couple from California who suffered the loss of their own dog wasn’t ready for a new addition to the family quite yet. But when they individually heard about Rush, on the same day – she heard about him through a rescue site and he heard about Rush through the news — neither one talked the other out of adopting him. It was in at that moment, the couple knew that they had to bring him home. They fell in love with Rush and drove to pick him up after work! And SICSA couldn’t be happier for Rush, and how his story helps to spread awareness about strays. Forever home, found!
