Making new friends can be hard. Especially if you are a teeny tiny hedgehog and everyone and everything in the world are so much bigger than you are. We all have things that we are afraid of, but imagine spending your life only a few inches tall and having to look up at the world.
Harley is a hedgehog and he isn’t quite sure about the world and whether or not he would like to make friends. But, everyone knows the world is better when you have friends! It’s just going to take Harley a little bit of time to figure that out.
Little Harley loves his family, even though all of the humans are much bigger than him. But, there is someone just about his size that is curious and a little frightened, but wants to be a friend. A family friend has a kitten named Loki and even though they are scared right now, Loki and Harley could be best friends if they just give it a chance.
At first, Harley stays curled up in a ball and Loki watches curiously from across the room. But, slowly, Loki approaches the strange, spiky little creature. It takes some time, but Harley decides to open up and meet his new, fluffy little friend. As the kitten comes closer, our hedgehog friend starts to cover himself with his spikes. But, with a little more time and patience, the two tiny animals become more comfortable around one another. Watching these two become friends is definitely one of the cutest things that I’ve ever seen!
Harley is a lucky hedgehog with a family that loves him very much. Not only do they introduce him to new friends, they take excellent care of him. When Harley suffered an eye injury, they did everything they could to nurse him back to health.
