Even as an adult, I like watching planes take off or land. There’s something so magical about that moment. First of all, it truly is an incredible feat of engineering. It still blows me away that we can travel to the far corners of the planet in a hunk of flying metal, and at such high speeds and altitudes! An airplane really is a marvel of modern design. It also makes me curious to wonder about who’s inside and where are they going, or coming from? Every passenger on that plane has a story, whether they’re moving out, or visiting someone or coming to visit somewhere they’ve never been before. There are just so many stories.
For this little girl, she and her mom would routinely go to the airport to watch planes come in and out as they soar through the sky. Except, this time was a little different, and this little girl got a really big surprise!
The video opens to mom holding her baby girl’s hand inside the airport. Mom brought her daughter to the airport to “watch planes,” but in reality, she had another idea in mind. She’s telling the little girl to “Look! Look right there!” Her daughter instantly stops and looks around with no expression on her face. Almost bored, as if to say, “Ok mom. What? What do you want me to look at?!” when suddenly, everything is revealed!
The girl’s face completely changes, lighting up with delight as she zeroes-in on a familiar face. It’s daddy, and he has just come home from training as a soldier. She runs up to him, squealing with happiness and he lifts her high off the ground. It’s such a cute reunion, and she is beyond thrilled. She continues to laugh and snuggle and hug her dad with sweetness and joy! She’s so surprised that she becomes a little overwhelmed with emotion. The poor dear is trying to understand her feelings as she goes from happiness, to shock to relief! There are hugs and kisses and just cuteness galore! It’s a lovely reunion for the family!
Videos like these are heartwarming because you get to see a military family together and happy. There are so many stories we hear about families not meeting for years, and soldier mom and dads missing out on milestones in their family. Reunions like these come as a treat!
