Talented Young Singer With Autism Performs With Pentatonix

It’s not easy to get on stage and perform everyone’s favorite classic, in front of thousands of people. It also takes a lot of nerves to sign up for a performance with a music group that’s classified as “one of the best in the world.” These two reasons are why we should all give 11-year-old Kaylee a pat on the back and immense recognition for what she’s done in the video below. But these reasons aren’t all.

Kaylee is known as the Irish singing sensation, so when she paired up with Pentatonix for a performance on Stever Harvey’s “Little Big Shots,” the audience knew that they were in for a musical treat.

Here is some background information on little Kaylee: She was a quiet girl in school, who usually kept to herself. She has been diagnosed with ADHD and autism, but neither of these diagnoses keeps her from following her dream. The girl found love and solace in music, and as soon as she started pursuing singing, she became a confident child — the audience loves her everywhere she goes.

So, with the presence of this singing prodigy and Pentatonix, the entire auditorium was silent, anticipating a beautiful performance that would pay homage to Leonard Cohen. As soon as the six singers begin their song, we know that they made the right choice.

Their vocals complement one another like never before. They’re singing in tune and not overpowering one another, or each others’ styles. I think that’s what makes this performance so magical — the individual singers came together and performed without having to compromise their talent and style of singing. Pentatonix and Kaylee both found a happy medium in which they can sing this song and make it one of the best renditions of “Hallelujah” ever.
