Family Walks By Homeless Man, Then Dad Returns And Changes His Life Forever

GENTRI (“The Gentlemen Trio”) is a three-man group composed of incredible tenor singers: Brad Robins, Casey Elliott, and Bradley Quinn Lever. While only established in June of 2014, GENTRI already has five albums out, one of those albums being a Christmas album, “Finding Christmas,” which was released in 2016.

One song from this trio’s Christmas album stands out in particular: their impressive rendition of ‘O Holy Night.’ While there are thousands of ‘O Holy Night’ covers out there, GENTRI’s version is perhaps one of the greatest and most soothing to the ears. However, the music video for the group’s cover is what’s really catching the attention of many.

In GENTRIs’ music video for the Christmas tune, one first notices a family with four children of different ages walking together through an indoor-outdoor mall, bundled up for the colder weather. They window-shop together and joyously get hot drinks from a local bakery, two things that many families do around Christmastime.

But suddenly, the mood of the video changes when the family walks past a homeless man with long hair and a beard. The father of the family looks back at him but continues walking.

The family of six continues their festive night as they select the perfect Christmas tree to take back home. But, to their surprise, the homeless man comes over and helps them put the tree on top of their car with a smile.

After taking off and regretting leaving the kind homeless man alone in the cold, without food or shelter, the father later decides to return to track down the man to ensure he gives back to him–but it’s not with something that can be placed in a gift box.

“We wanted to make sure that the messages conveyed in our songs were those that challenged the listener to live life more fully and love more deeply. The messages of these songs are an extension of the core message of GENTRI itself,” GENTRI told the Prelude Press. “…We wanted the music and lyrics to reflect the things that matter most to us—relationships with family, chasing our dreams, and living life to the fullest.”

I think GENTRI definitely met their latter goals with this music video! The video is heartwarming and showcases the true meaning of Christmas: helping those in need.

The ‘O Holy Night’ cover by GENTRI is like no other cover you’ve heard before. You can listen and watch the music video below. You might even shed a few tears!
