We always expect adults to be extra careful when it comes to speaking in front of their kids and grandkids. It’s important that we watch our demeanor and the way we speak with others. But, it’s equally (if not more, according to a lot of opinions) imperative that you choose the right words when having a conversation around the little ones.
They can easily pick up on the things you say and start using your common language in their own conversations. They don’t know the difference between right and wrong at such a young age. But, things can also work the opposite way in which the child knows EXACTLY what you’re saying and will call you out on it. That’s what happened when Josie heard gran say a “bad word” (really not a bad word at all!) — grandma landed herself in a little bit of trouble.
So, what did Mimi really say? Josie admits that the bad word was, “poop.” With that, the woman recording the toddler has a little giggle and tells Josie that “poop” is not a bad word. Does Josie agree? Absolutely not!
In fact, Josie continues to say that she will go home, have a rest, and then continue to ignore her grandmother, as she does not tolerate bad language! Well isn’t that just the cutest thing? Ahh, to be young! Don’t you simply miss the days of being that sweet?
We wonder when Josie finally came around to speaking to her grandmother again. By the sounds of the conversation she’s having, the little girl may just need a break from gramma’s house. We’re sure that she won’t be away for too long, though! There’s nothing better than going to gran’s and having the time of your life!
