What do you remember doing with your parents when you were younger? For me, one of the clearest memories I have with my dad is about soccer. He would take my brother and me out every evening, to the soccer field right across the street from our family home, and we would practice taking shots at the net while he was our goalie. This was all to perfect our skill. With mom, I remember taking long walks every night, in the summertime. This was our bonding time, we would talk about everything under the sun.
Parents and their children bond in different ways, and there’s no right or wrong way of spending time with one another. The mother-daughter duo we’re going to share with you below has a very unique way of coming together and doing something fun.
Today, we’re going to take you back to an episode of “Britain’s Got Talent” from 2016. The show saw some amazing talent, and in my opinion, everyone deserved a shot at the grand prize and the international recognition. But, if two people really shined throughout the entire competition, then it had to be the mother-daughter duo, Ana, and Fia.
The two originally wowed the judges when they came on stage for the first time to give their audition. They had had a troubled past, and singing was their solace; Ana was in a very difficult marriage and finally mustered up the courage to leave. She’s been the single support system for both her children.
The judges were blown away by their singing when they first stepped foot on stage, and it’s needless to say that they blew it out of the water once again with their semi-final act.
The song they chose to sing was just perfect too — Simon wasn’t a fan of it, though! The ladies took the stage and sang “Wind Beneath My Wings.” In my opinion, they couldn’t have chosen a better song to perform. Not only does it challenge their vocals, getting them to hit various notes, but it also speaks volumes about the relationship these two women share. They came together as a huge support system for one another in their time of need, and it’s so clear that both mom and daughter appreciate each other so much.
