Ever seen a shooting star? What about a double rainbow? Have you gone sailing for a sunset or witnessed a 100-year-old sea turtle floating around? Have you been lucky enough to watch your favorite band play your favorite song in the flesh? These are some priceless moments that shape us. These experiences are ones that don’t come knocking on your door every day. But when they do, wow! They take your breath away. It’s something for the books, something that truly enriches life, adding color and sparkle to your day and constantly reminding you how much there is to be grateful for!
The video at the end of this post is an example of seeing something that not everyone gets to see. It’s all about being in the right place at the right time and really soaking up the magnitude and beauty of nature. It’s a moment in time that will be forever burned in everyone’s mind, and something each one of the people involved can tick off their bucket list!
Off the coast of Australia, near Port Macquarie, one family set sail on a whale watching adventure. Mom signed everyone up hoping to encounter some local wildlife and create memories with the family. She had no idea what she was in for. After all, it’s hard to predict just how much you’ll see when you go on a sightseeing tour like this. There are so many moving parts involved when you want to see nature in full force. Animals are unpredictable, they do what they want! It’s a delicate balance of finding the right time of year, accurate weather conditions and the perfect time of day!
In the distance, mom caught wind of a whale. She saw the friendly sea creature skim the surface. Hopeful that the whale would come closer, she took out her camera, ready to roll just in case. Seconds into recording, the horizon is clear and the water is calm, and then all of sudden, the boat rocks — and you’ll just have to see the rest for yourself! What I will say is that this spotting is truly incredible. And the big splash that comes with it is totally worth it!
