6-Year-Old Notices Neighbour Acting Strangely And Instantly Jumps Into Action

Have you ever heard of the phrase, “Heroes come in all shapes and sizes?” I know I have, and on multiple occasions. When someone is out doing a good deed nothing else matters more than the human spirit in his/her heart. This good samaritan can be any age, but when instincts kick in, they kick in. That’s exactly what happened when 6-year-old Dorian Beshara figured something was wrong in the neighborhood.

It started off as a normal day at grandma’s house in Salem, New Hampshire, USA. Dorian was spending the day with the grandparents. He was looking out a huge window in the house when he noticed that something was wrong with his grandma’s 84-year-old neighbor, Dorothy.

Dorian says that Dorothy is always in high spirits. She greets him kindly every time they meet and even offers him candy or other sweet treats. Just like any other 6-year-old, Dorian always greeted the kind neighbor in hopes for treats. That afternoon was different though. There was something off about Dorothy’s behavior, she almost looked hurt. The moment she made eye contact with the boy, the woman started motioning to him, and he knew he had to go see what was wrong.

The smart kid called for his dad and uncle to rush over to see what was happening to the neighbor. The two went over and immediately called 911 — Dorothy’s health was in danger. It turned out that Dorothy had broken her back that day while she was outside. She was in immense pain and couldn’t walk properly.

It was a good thing that Dorian was around to see that Dorothy was struggling and understand that he should seek help to send over to the woman. We can’t begin to imagine what would have happened had he not noticed her, or if he didn’t catch on to her problem.

As she spoke about her back, Dorothy said, “I bent over and heard my back crack and it hurt real bad, so I motioned for Dorian to come.” Dorian’s parents and even the firefighters who responded to the 911 call are all very proud of the 6-year-old. His dad told reporters that “[l]ittle kids can do so much more than they get credit for. I’m the proudest father ever.”

I have to admit that what this little boy did is really impressive. Go, Dorian!
