Lost Dog Reunited With Owner After 7 Months

For everyone who owns a pet, do you remember everything you went through to get him/her? Maybe it was when you were a lot younger, and you had to work extra hard to convince your parents to buy you a dog. This meant that you’d be mowing the lawn, taking out the garbage, and doing the dishes. All these chores to show them that you’re responsible. Parents usually just want to know that you’re able to look after a furry friend, when you’re younger, to ensure that it’s not another task for them to take on.

Or, you may be older and decide to get a dog. Things are different when you grow up because you may be able to afford a dog on your own, but there are other factors to consider: who will look after the pup when you’re at work? Will he/she be ok to stay home alone throughout the day? Do you have a dog sitter that you can count on when you go on vacation? Will you be able to give the dog enough time?

After much consideration and thought, when you finally bring your pup home, it probably is the happiest you’ve ever been. Once you have a new addition to the family, things change drastically, and it’s all good vibes. Everything is done with a partner, and you know that this doggo is instantly going to become your best friend — you’re always together!

That’s exactly what one dog owner thought would happen until he noticed his dog was missing, and things came crashing down.

It was July 4th, and the man, who lives in Texas, was doing some firecrackers to celebrate the occasion. Dora, his German Shepard, didn’t quite like the sounds and got scared. She ended up jumping over the fence and running away from home, much to her owner’s devastation.

Dora was microchipped, but the man lost all hope when he couldn’t find her even after a few weeks had gone by. He began to think that he had lost his dog forever until he got a call from a local animal shelter telling him that Dora had been found! The shelter recorded the moment the two best friends meet after seven long months, and this footage is a tear-jerker and not something that you want to miss.
