Dolphins, as we all know, are kind creatures. One of their greatest attributes is their playful side. However, one thing you may not know is that sometimes they pair this playfulness with a little mischievousness. But really, who doesn’t like to do that sometimes?
The video down below, I fully admit, made me laugh pretty hard. In Gracetown, Western Australia, a man named Lucas captured footage that shows off the mischievous side of one particular dolphin.
Lucas was filming surfers when he noticed numerous (a pod of) dolphins swimming together. Paddleboarder Andrew Hill was on his surfboard when a small wave came his way. The dolphins that were swimming together decided that they wanted to catch that wave, so they got under it.
In the video, you can see their dorsal fin’s above the water as the wave comes out, and then all of a sudden, Andrew was right in front of it, too. Okay, here comes the funny part. One of the dolphins saw that the man was very close, so the dolphin jumps out of the water, and bumps into Andrew, making him fall off his board.
The dolphin pushed him with it’s side, and then fell back into the water. Seriously, you need to watch this because just writing this is making me laugh.
Andrew fell into the water, but he seems to have been fine because the video shows him swimming back out and onto his board again.
Many people in the comments say that the dolphin did it on purpose. Still, it wasn’t meant to be aggressive. The dolphin seemed to have just been playing around with the human that was near him. It wouldn’t hurt the man.
If you’d like to see this poor paddle boarder get pushed by a dolphin, watch the video down below!
