It’s all too often we hear of, or even see, people neglecting pets on the sides of roads, in ditches, or in abandoned parking lots. Instead, they should give up these loving animals to no-kill animal shelters or to a friend who would be willing to care for them. Some may wonder what goes on in the hearts of these individuals. Things were unfortunately no different for one spotted canine.
In Itabira, Brazil, a female bicyclist filmed the scene of the dog being dumped onto a grassy roadside with the intention to help her recall the area where the pup was left so she could later return with a vehicle to take him home.
Below, one can view a tragic video of the pup being dumped off on the side of the road, proof that not all humans are worthy of giving animals the love and care they deserve.
The video she filmed was difficult to watch as the dog made attempts to jump back into the truck of the owner who neglected him, even chased the vehicle, and sadly watched as it took off, leaving him to fend for himself. The dog was then running in circles not sure what to do next.
While the woman who filmed the video returned and had difficulty finding the pup, despite arriving at the location over the course of several days, she decided to post the video online. This video went viral and caught the attention of a man who decided that enough was enough: that dog needed a loving home.
This man lived near the location where the abandonment took place, encouraging him to keep his eyes wide open for any signs of the dog. After a two-day-long search, the furry friend was spotted and taken to his new home!
The narration in the second video is: “So people, this here is the dog we rescued that is causing a lot of controversies here in Itabira. Moved by the story, we decided to go after him. Now he’s being taken care of. He is in our home, has food and everything he needs.”
