I am a huge fan of live music. It’s my mission in life to see all my favorite bands and musicians. To be able to see them play the music that made them famous in the first place, in the flesh, is a gift in an of itself. Music is a universal language that everyone speaks. You can’t help but have your heart feel uplifted when you’re in the middle of a high-energy crowd.
As a diehard music fan who has been able to see a lot of shows around the world, it’s always been a dream of mine to get noticed by the performer. In fact, I’m pretty sure every person in the audience (especially those of us who longingly stand as close to the stage as possible) has a secret wish in their heart to be spotted by the frontman, pointed at and invited onstage. While it may not happen for most of us, there are a select few who get to live out this fantasy!
At country rockstar Luke Bryan’s show, this is exactly what happened. First of all, we all know country fans are unwavering. They love their musicians and their musicians love them right back. Luke is no exception. This guy has a big heart. Did you know, that when his sister tragically and unexpectedly died in 2007, he adopted his niece and nephew? Yeah, not only is he a celebrity with God-given talent, Luke knows how to step up when life throws a curveball. He happens to know how to step up on stage and tear the house down too, that is until he had to come face to face with a little healthy competition.
The video opens to Luke Bryan on stage singing. He reaches over the crowd to towards an eager little girl wearing a white cowboy hat, perched on her parent’s shoulders. He doesn’t waste a moment before grabbing and hoisting her up on to the stage. The crowd goes bonkers, and she can’t believe her luck. Luke doesn’t miss a beat, crooning into the microphone. He gets down on his knees and the pair immediately start dancing up a storm together, busting moves that create an incredible memory the girl will cherish forever. But wait, it gets better.
Luke stops singing and passes the mic over to the little cowgirl so she can take over. These two are on fire and she can’t help but have the biggest smile on her face!
