17-Year-Old Connie Talbot Performs Cover Of “Bohemian Rhapsody”

If you watch Britain’s Got Talent, you might be familiar with singer Connie Talbot who starred on the show 11 years ago with her incredible rendition of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’ You know, the little blonde-headed girl who completely wowed Simon Cowell? Just six-years-old at the time, many probably thought that’d be the last time they’d see little Connie performing on stage; however, it certainly wasn’t the last, more like just the beginning.

In fact, Connie is still singing today, and her voice has surely developed over the past decade. Today, her YouTube channel, where she posts covers and original tracks, has racked up over 1.3 million subscribers!

One of her most recent covers is her rendition of Queen’s 1977 ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ The young beauty sits at a piano, wearing a gray turtle-neck, in a bedroom adorned with different tones of silver and gray from corner to corner.

Immediately, the girl begins tickling the ivories as she softly yet confidently sings through a microphone to the Queen tune. It’s just seconds into the clip and I’m already beginning to get goosebumps.

I think my favorite part of her cover is when she gets to the lyric, “Oh mamma mia, mamma mia, mamma mia, let me go.” Her voice is incredibly powerful, especially at this point!

Paired with Connie’s strong voice, one can’t help but notice her glowing skin, perfect brows, lightly-glossed lips, and bright pearly whites as she occasionally looks over to glisten her teeth at the camera between verses.

Overall, although ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is a longer song with a semi-lengthy set of lyrics, Connie did a stunning job. She didn’t miss a key and hit every note effortlessly. I think I would be out of breath halfway through the song if it were me singing in all of those pitches!

After watching one of her most recent covers, I’m sure glad Connie stuck to what she’s been doing since she was a little girl! Many give up their childhood hobbies as they get older and more independent, but the young woman knew she was bound to be a singer all along.

You have to hear Connie’s beautiful rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody!’ You can check it out in the video below. And, since you’re checking out this cover of hers, you might be interested in checking out some of her other covers over on her YouTube channel!
