Pets are without a doubt a part of the family. They may not look like the rest of the members of the family with their brightly colored feathers or long, furry tail and big floppy ears, but they are loved and they belong. And, they know this! A two-week-old baby is lying on his back, on the floor, on a mat. He’s calm and absorbing his environment around him with his eyes wide. Not four inches away from him is his small, feathered friend hanging out beside him! It’s the family’s cockatiel keeping the baby company.
Cockatiels make good pets for small places like apartments and condominiums. They don’t require a lot of space and they are loving and affectionate birds that genuinely like to be touched. Their kind demeanor makes them tameable at a young age and they only need some gentle handling to be guided.
The family’s cockatiel is very well-mannered, so much so, they trust their cute pet to be around the new baby. Right beside the baby’s head on the floor, the bird has set up shop as he begins to sweetly serenade the little human. He’s chiming away a pretty little ditty, and the baby is loving every second of it, giving the bird his full attention! He can’t take his eyes off his new pal.
Totally entranced, the baby listens and absorbs the cockatiel’s private performance for one. The bird doesn’t budge and the baby doesn’t move either as he continues to sing away, chirping and humming a tune he’s made up. While some parents might squirm at the thought of an unpredictable bird being so close to their baby’s face, this mom loved every second of the interaction! So much so, she stood back and watched it happen. Either way, there’s no denying how precious this moment is, garnering over 3.7 million views!
