I love cats. They’re so strange. They do the funniest things that defy human logic. From curling their bodies into way-too-tight spaces, freaking out if you draw a circle around them and just generally being over the top wacky and adorable, cats make my day!
And this particular cat definitely makes homeowner Rosie’s day after she couldn’t piece together the strange mystery. Thankfully, after a little investigation, all was revealed, further proving just how sweetly weird cats truly are.
Rosie is new to the neighborhood and just moved into her house. She’s barely had a chance to unpack and get used to the layout of her new home when she started to notice little flowers left around on her doorstep. And it’s not like it had been windy lately. There was no other debris around, only the petals which looked like they were deliberately placed on her doorstep. Hmmm, the plot thickens.
The befuddled homeowner started to notice more and more flowers appearing, seemingly out of nowhere, more often. It definitely wasn’t the wind, and at this point because of the sheer volume and frequency of the flowers, Rosie started to think she had a secret admirer! And she wasn’t far off.
It wasn’t until she was making dinner one evening when all the pieces came together. She caught the neighbour’s cat Willow slinking around outdoors with one of the big poufy flowers in her mouth! Rosie couldn’t believe it and grabbed her camera in a hurry to record it!
“It was at least 10 flowers before we realized it was her…. For a while, it was just a legend that it was her until yesterday when I was cooking and spotted her jumping down with a pink flower in her mouth. I was so excited that I went to film it because she’s so cute and I’d never seen a cat ever bring back anything but dead animals before.”
Anyone who has ever had a cat knows that when they come home with something in their mouth, it’s not usually appetizing for humans. While it may be a treat for the feline and their version of bringing home a trophy, it’s usually a dead mouse and truth be told, it’s gross. Kind, and thoughtful but what are you going to do with a critter? Willow is one smart kitty and her way of winning over her neighbor is getting her a lot of extra treats and cuddles! What a sweetheart.,
