Tree Service Company Rescues Cat Stuck In Tree Right Before Thunderstorm

Nothing makes me smile more than a happy ending! Even though life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, it’s still good knowing that positive things can happen, especially during a time where it seems like nothing but bad is occurring.

That said, let’s get on with a positive news story. Something that happened was the rescue of a cat when he got stuck in a tree. The cat was saved by a tree service company with the rescue happening not long before a big thunderstorm.

Prior to the rescue, a 91-year-old Springfield, Missouri resident named Miss Betty heard the distressed cat’s cries from one of her trees. As a result, Miss Betty contacted multiple of her neighbors, including Jayson Maloney. They then contacted the fire department and several tree service companies who refused to provide their assistance.

Luckily, the owners of the cat, who recently adopted him from Pets Way and named him Cheese, found out about the situation and arrived at the scene.

Jayson Maloney recorded the entire rescue out of boredom during the pandemic. Towards the beginning of the video, he explained that he, alongside several neighbors, have been trying to rescue the cat for three days. With a big storm on the way, and with Cheese without food and water, it was urgent that he’d get back in his owners’ arms as soon as possible.

“It’s going to take a village to do this,” Maloney said. “Cat lives matter.” He even came up with a sutiable hashtag: #SaveCheese.

Finally, one tree service company, Four Seasons Tree Service, agreed to help. Employee Edgar climbed a tall latter, and wearing a harness attached to the tree, he was able to safely climb high enough to get to the distressed feline. And, amazingly, a rainbow appeared in the sky not long before Edgar retrieved Cheese from the tree.

Some may not see how big of a deal the cat’s rescue was, but Edgar from Four Seasons truly risked his life to save the one-year-old, orange-and-white cat! Like other trees service companies and even the local fire department, Four Seasons could have refused to help, but they gave it a shot.

Oh, and it should be mentioned that Edgar refused money or any sort of tip for his service. He even said the company he works for has back-to-back appointments lined up for the next five months. That says a lot!

All of the neighbors, and Cheese’s owners, were very pleased with the company for coming out to help. Maloney even suggests leaving a 5-star review on Four Seasons Tree Service as a way to give back to them for their kindness.

You can watch the entire rescue go down in the following video filmed by Maloney.
