Businesses Are Giving Away Free Toilet Paper So People Can Continue To Stay Socially Distant

It’s worrisome that many of the items we rely on are now becoming harder and harder to find in stores. Access to toilet paper is one of the things because some people are stocking up on toilet paper more than usual right now. Many stores have no choice but to limit the quantity that customers are able to purchase at a time.

There’s still good news. For the folks who are not only out of toilet paper but are struggling to afford it at this time, many businesses are giving away extra rolls for free or are reselling them at a lower cost. These businesses’ generosity is helping people avoid crowded stores, save cash, let alone, get access to toilet paper at all in preparation for self-quarantining and shelter-in-place orders.

A marketing firm in Atlanta, Georgia called Trevelino/Keller is one of many businesses giving away toilet paper for free. Since they have storage closets filled with enough toilet paper rolls for their thousand-plus employees, the business decided to give them away for free to help with the current shortage.

So, Trevelino/Keller started what they call their T/K TP Toss where people can drive up to one of their distribution locations, roll down their car window, and receive one or two rolls of toilet paper tossed by a gloved employee. This allows both employees and free toilet paper recipients to remain at an appropriate social distance.

Trevelino/Keller has already done rounds of their TP Toss and will be announced on their Facebook and other social media pages regarding future events.

Other businesses are also giving away free toilet paper while others are choosing to sell toilet paper at a lower cost than the average store.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin pizzeria, Mequon Pizza Co., is doing both. They offer a free roll of toilet paper with every pizza ordered. However, if you’re wanting just the toilet paper, they will be selling toilet paper rolls for just a dollar each, up to six per person.

The pizza company posted the following on Facebook on March 13, 2020:

“Did you run out of toilet paper? If so, MPC has your back! Our regular, massive shipment was just delivered so for every large pizza you purchase we will give you a free roll of Cottonelle, 2-ply toilet paper if you need it! Just ask.

As always, we pride ourselves in being a clean, sanitary, safe place to enjoy delicious food in a family-friendly environment, regardless of heightened levels of disease. We’ve filled our bathroom soap pumps and gave all surfaces an extra coat of disinfectant. Working on paper towel dispensers, as well.

If you need toilet paper, rolls are available for purchase (limit 6) at our cost of $1.”

From a free roll of toilet paper to toilet paper at a reduced cost, either one works. Many other businesses around the United States are doing one, the other, or even both. It’s little things like this that mean so much during this time.
