Nowadays, we’re all shopping online from home. I know I am and I know I’m totally guilty of it! Especially since I do it in my underwear or sweat pants, looking totally comfy with my unwashed hai and no makeup! But before there was at-home shopping, there was a time when you had to actually get dressed, and look halfway presentable. It was a fun time to leave the house and see real-life humans moving around in a mall, department or grocery store.
Whether you are a fan of shopping or not, it’s fair to say that one always manages to see all kinds of different folk while window shopping or browsing their favorite store. In fact, getting out and about gives you the ability to see so many different people, that it’s a great way to appreciate diversity and understand all of the colorful humans that walk the earth with us.
On one particular day, shoppers were pleasantly surprised to meet a boy named Calum Courtney. Calum is a 10-year-old young man living with autism, and who is absolutely in love with music. In fact, he wants to pursue a career in music so passionately, that he will sing for anyone who’ll listen.
So, as Calum walked the aisles of a favorite chain grocery store in the U.K, he decided that it would be the perfect time to sing one of his favorite songs. The young lad moved to the center of the store and began singing a song by Smokey Robinson called, “Who’s Lovin’ You.”
With his hands in his pocket and a sweet smile on his face, he sang with pure passion and power. So much so, in fact, that the other shoppers stopped to watch this little boy in action. They were mesmerized by his talent and confidence—one person even managed to record the occurrence and upload it to YouTube. We’re so happy they did, as it’s genuinely a heart-melting moment. The boy sings with passion and courage in a way that will resonate with anyone who watches this video.
