It’s hard to predict a child’s response to some of life’s significant milestones, like moving to a new city or announcing a new brother or sister. Kids say the darndest things, and usually, it’s pretty hilarious. And if the reaction is caught on camera? Even better because reliving events like these down the line is precious and sure to make everyone laugh.
After a beautifully orchestrated proposal, as evidenced by the rose petals on the floor discovered by 4-year-old Asher, Jasmin and her new fiancé Ian got one heck of a good laugh, from her son, that they will never forget.
Ian’s proposal brought on a lot of questions from Asher. Most likely his first experience, Asher wanted some answers about the box, the ring and why she will wear it when she sleeps.
Asher’s adorable questions and comments come in a flurry – “…the rings are for… people?” “Will you wear it in the pool?” are amongst the few. Jasmin asks if he knows what engagement means, to which he replies, “…You have to keep it on all night…?” Both Jasmin and Ian giggle. So she continues, “It means before you get married.”
And this is where Asher stands his ground, firmly. He becomes protective and shows how much he loves his mommy. He truly is mama’s boy.
