The question: “Who rescued who?” is often posed by owners of rescued animals. The kind people asking this question have opened their hearts to an animal, or animals, which need a home. But, they find that even though they are supposed to be the ones “giving” something, they are receiving more in return — the unconditional love and appreciation of a deserving animal. It’s not all the time that we’re blessed enough to have a loyal pet, so when the time comes, pet owners are always grateful and keep their furry friends close.
Sarper Duman understands just how that feels. He is the proud caretaker of nine stray cats that had been living on the street. He shared a few videos of himself and his beautiful rescue kitties on Instagram.
Sarper also happens to be a musician, a pianist specifically, and he has discovered that playing music for his cats soothes and relaxes them. Somehow he has tapped into something that the cats like and speaks to their souls. In his videos, he can be seen playing for his cats, and they all look so happy and content.
It turns out that his cats’ enjoyment of the music isn’t just a fluke. Other cats are enjoying his soothing music, as well. There’s a blind ginger kitty that also appreciates his musical talents.
The ginger cat’s owner sent a video to Sarper, showing his cat’s reaction to the music. As it plays on a cell phone, the gorgeous kitty grabs the phone and pulls it closer, cuddling the phone and clearly enjoying every note that Sarper plays. It’s so touching.
Sarper shared the fan’s video of their cat with his followers, accompanied by the following message: “This has been the most touching message I’ve ever received. This beautiful blind cat’s name is Namik. They say he acts that way whenever he is shown my videos.”
