Little Girl Chooses Big Song To Sing And Impresses Judges

Do you ever go back and listen to old winners of “The Voice,” “American Idol,” or” America’s Got Talent?” Well, we’re going to go all the way back to 2006 for this video! And for which show? “America’s Got Talent” (AKA AGT). 2006 was the year that AGT first aired, and we’re bringing you the audition of the person that won that very first season.

The winner was an 11-year-old girl named Bianca Ryan. Most children—let’s face it, most people – would be terrified to audition for shows like AGT. It takes a lot of confidence to put yourself out there like that. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Making yourself vulnerable helps you reap the benefits of living a life worth living.

This young girl was afraid of neither. Bianca walks out on stage with undeniable confidence in herself and her song choice, and when asked what song she was going to be auditioning with, the former judge Brandy Norwood said, “That’s a big song, mama.”

The song she chose was, And I am Telling You I’m Not Going by Jennifer Holliday—one of the hardest songs to sing according to the next incredible woman who sang it later in the movie remake of “Dreamgirls,” Jennifer Hudson.

Despite the incredibly high notes she had to belt, and the control it took to sing them well, she did it, much to everyone’s surprise. Her performance was sassy and entertaining—a great match for an 11-year-old girl.

The audience was on their feet by the end, and this includes the judges. Well, Judge Brandy was won over halfway through the performance.

The comments she got were all praise. The judges were in a state of shock, totally floored that a young girl could so flawlessly pull off a near-impossible song not written to be sung by the faint of heart. Oh, no siree. This girl packs a punch with the emotion she injects into each note. Everyone told her that she did an amazing job, and when it came to voting if she was going to go through—they didn’t. They simply said that there was no point in voting and to just go because she’d made it to the next round.

If you want to hear Bianca’s audition, here’s the video!
