As a baby, we don’t remember our first times: Our first word, the first time we walk, or even the first time we try something sour. But our parents do, and often, they’ll record these firsts or at least write about them in our baby book for later recollection. As an adult, it’s always nice to have something to look back on from when we were an infant or young child.
Currently-nine-month-old Blakely will surely enjoy looking back one day on a video mother Brittani Jernigan posted of her online this month. In the video originally posted on Tik Tok under Mom’s username, @mamabritti, the infant is enjoying her very first ice cream cone at a local Baskin-Robbins. Her cute reaction so far has amassed over 629,900 likes and 6,600 comments!
Watching the clip, we see Baby Blakely in an adorable, pink one-piece sitting on a tabletop at Baskin-Robbins. Her dad brings an ice cream cone, topped with what looks like a vanilla base swirled with chocolate and possibly caramel, to his daughter’s face for a little taste.
The little cutie inches closer to the mound of ice cream, tries it, then gets “crazy eyes” as she realizes how good the frozen dessert is, leading her to grab the scoop of ice cream with her bare hands as she continues to shove it into her mouth!
“Let go,” the father says multiple times as he and his wife are cracking up in the background. What do you expect, Dad? Ice cream is darn good!
The clip was equally as adorable as it was funny. However, neither Brittani nor her husband had initial plans to record the little incident, although we’re glad they did!
“I honestly have no idea [why I started recording]. I never do stuff like that,” Mrs. Jernigan told TODAY. “My husband was giving her bites, so her back was to me, but I heard him laughing at her faces, and he gave her a lick of the ice cream. I was like, ‘Turn her around so I can see!’ And I was laughing and thought ‘I should record this.'”
Although the parents found her response to the ice cream hilarious, they weren’t completely surprised.
“She’s very comical. She makes a lot of funny faces, and she’s very bossy, so it’s a typical reaction for her,” shared the mom.
