Andrea Bocelli And Christina Aguilera Sing Enchanting Duet

Andrea Bocelli’s music perfectly showcases the tenor’s beautiful voice. Every time he sings, it’s as though the music was written for him, with his tone and cadence in mind. The man is untouchable!

Before I watched the video and saw that Andrea and Christina Aguilera were performing a duet together onstage, I raised an eyebrow. I was skeptical at best and pondered what a classically trained opera singer and an ex-Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeer were doing together. It felt haphazard to me.

And then a light went off in my head, and I traveled back in time to when I remembered I was always on Team Christina. While her image has been questionable at times, there is no doubting the magnitude of her voice. She is an artist and has been perfecting and evolving her craft for years. She is known as the little girl with a big voice at only 8 years old. Yes, I was always Team Christina over Team Britney!

Fast forward to the starlet she is, and in this video, she is standing on stage with the legend that he is. Performing in Tuscany, Italy, they are dressed in their best, seated on two stools with an orchestra behind them and flooded blue light all around. It’s an ethereal, dreamy setup, perfect for the spectacular show that’s about to go down.

Once the wild applause dies out, Andrea takes over the room. His voice is smooth and resounding, hypnotizing as he captures everyone’s attention. Even Christina’s. She’s standing, facing Andrea and watching him intently while he effortlessly delivers the words from his lips. It’s her turn, and she comes in full-force, taking over and adding her Christina Aguilera mark on the Spanish love song.

Half-Ecuadorian, Christina isn’t fluent in Spanish but has dedicated herself to learning the language, having released a Spanish album in the past. Her voice is crystal clear and penetrating as Andrea joins back in and the two voices entangle to create a perfect duet.

The combination of their voices and talent are enough to make anyone melt. It’s Andrea’s range that gives weight to the song while carrying his singing companion’s melismatic soprano voice (fun fact: Christina can sing 4 octaves!). Both Andrea and Christina complement each other so well in this duet, giving each other’s sound depth and color, resulting in an excellent rendition of the song that you definitely can’t just watch once!
