Two 100-Year-Olds Get Quizzed On Pop Culture And Everyone’s Faces Hurt From Laughing

A best friend is a best friend because he/she is the one you call when you’ve found yourself in a pickle, or maybe just need someone to keep you company. They have many hats to wear, ones that require them to be a photographer, a therapist, a bartender, a nurse—whatever the situation calls for! If you just got some really good news, your best friend will want to share it with you. At your wedding, your best friend will take over the mic. He/she will also tell the truth straight to your face when you ask if you look fat in these jeans! Or at least that’s what they were put on this planet for, to tell you what you need to know when no one else will say.

Now imagine you’ve had the same best friend for 94 years. That’s a lot of dirt to have on each other and a lot of life experience to have had together!

On the Steve Harvey Show, Steve welcomes Alice Jensen and Irene Cook. These two lovely ladies were both born in 1913 on Chicago’s North Side, 100 years ago. They became best friends when they were 6-years-old, immediately taking a liking to each other, and they are still just as close today. They’ve both been married had children and been widowed, but it’s still them at the end of the day.

And the two have seen it all! A changing world that’s shown them the world’s first car to a landing on the moon to artificial intelligence…and selfies! Steve sat down with the two besties and asked them a few questions about today’s modern pop culture. Surprisingly, they nailed the basics.

When asked about Justin Bieber: “Oh that singer…Justin Beaver…I think he’s in movies…he’s not doing something right….” She’s pretty darn close! They answer a few other questions but it’s the final bit about BFFs that has everyone cackling, and even has Steve in hysterics, “I kid you not, I love them two ladies right there. I hope that God lets me live long enough, and I have a friend, somebody I can sit around with at 100 and just cuss!”

I think everyone is wishing the same thing after watching this one, Steve. At least, you can count me in!
