I can’t quite remember what I was doing at the age of 10. I know for a fact that I was in grade five, maybe just familiarizing myself with fractions, chapter books, and public speaking — maybe taking part in a school dance competition now and then. I definitely was not on an international platform singing for millions of people, in front of celebrity judges, that’s for sure! This, though, sounds like something 10-year-old Alexa is doing as we speak.
Alexa was 10-years-old when she made her first television appearance on “The Voice Australia.” She took the stage dressed in a black dress and her hair neatly pulled back into a ponytail. She looked so confident and ready to take on the world with her demeanor.
The little girl chose a rather tough song to sing for her audition, too. Not everyone can do justice to Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire.” But, I think it’s safe to say that Alexa managed to deliver, and if that’s not enough of a reason to be convinced, then watch the judges’ reaction to her performance.
By the looks of it, two of the three judges wanted to turn around and see who was on the stage seconds into her performance; you can hear one of them then say, “Wait until the chorus.” We’re assuming he wanted to see if Alexa could hit all the right notes, in one of the most iconic choruses in the world of music.
